Diane, The important thing is that rubrics help students and instructors. When everyone understands the expectations and knows the work at hand will be evaluated in a fair way, its helps everyone involved. Thanks for your input.

Diane, You are right - as a Baby Boomer - of course I agree. Ha! Understanding our audience, our students, is so important in developing good communication and providing content to students in a variety of ways. This comes many times from that generational understanding. Thanks for your input.

Diane, Being a newcomer to the educational arena, you bring fresh input from another point of view. This is valuable. Keep motivating the students to communicate and work together and serve as a good role model in your teaching. Thanks for your input.
Diane, To me, leadership and professionalism go hand in hand and we should serve as role models for both. Our students are watching how we react, how we lead, how we communicate, etc. We have to be the best we can be to set that good example. Thanks for your input.
Stephen, Right on! We need to obtain feedback in a variety of ways to make sure we are getting comprehensive feedback. It's the best way to see things from "all sides." The revision process is ongoing. Thanks!

Cindy, You are right. And, it's not just the understanding the generations, but understanding your specific students in general. Your students are you audience and whenever we do an audience analysis, we understand them better and understand how to more effectively provide content in a way that will help then understand it. Thanks for your input.
Antonio, Yes, me too. Feedback from the students is typically honest and it really helps me assess what I'm doing, the course layout and the content. Then, I can make adjustments. This is an ongoing process. Glad you have reflected on this and am learning from the process. Nice job.
Antonio, You are right on track. When providing feedback, it should help the students improve. Rubrics help the students and the instructors. I like that you provide details in your assessment. Good job.

Antonio, Right on! When everyone understands the expectations and learning outcomes and know how to achieve the course goals, they are more likely to be successful in the class. Providing content to students in a variety of ways and varying assignments/projects, helps address all learning styles. I like that you provide specific instructions as well. Many students need such detail. Thanks for your input.

Cynthia, Thanks for continuing the conversation. When I give online quizzes/tests, I provide limited time so they do not have time to look things up in their notes. I also ask students to pose a question they do not know the answer to and have other students answer the questtions. I can see from that what the students know and don't know. Just a couple of suggestions. Thanks for your input.
