Belinda, Right on. As an effective communicator and facilitator you have to be able to communicate in a timely manner. My timeline is 24 hours, but I explain that up front and many times I respond much faster.

Russell, Yes, be there for them. I have virtual office hours, am available through Blackboard, email, phone, etc. This helps students feel, as you said, "as ease." Good point.

John, Student access is essential, but making sure the tool does what you need it to do, and ngages students are also necessary. And, don't forget to assess that technology to make sure it's what you and the students need. Thanks!

Camila, Ah yes - technology is a TOOL. It does not replace the instructor and is not the goal of learning, but should help the student learn. This is very important to think about. Thanks for sharing.

Belinda, You bring up a good point that others have not - the size of the group. We think about the content and the students' abilities, but many times forget that the number of students is a factor too. Nice job.
