James and Nicole, The first live chat is the perfect time to introduce everything to the students. The earlier the better. Thanks. .
James, You are right on in your answers. If students don't have access to the technology, everything else is a moot point. Thansk! Dr. Tena B. Crews
Mark, Colleagues, especially if they have taught online before, can look at your course with a different view. It's good to include them. Thanks!
Todd, combination plans are good. When you involve students and provide specific feedback, it benefits the students. Thanks for your input.
Steve and Gary, The feedback I get from students is both in a formative format during the course and end of course surveys. When you engage students in assessment during the course, they are more likely to provide more feedback during the end of course surveys.
Steve, Peers do typically provide different feedback than students. It's good to get feedback in a variety of ways and decipher the feedback to help you improve the course.
Daniel and Michael, Thanks for continuing the conversation. Rubrics help both students and instructors. Keep the conversation going.
Daniel and Alysha, Positive, constructive, positive. This is a good way to provide meaningful feedback.
Daniel , Specific, individualized, improvement, and monitor are excellent words to describe what meaningful feedback should consits of. Thanks for your input.
Kurt, Yes, the feedback doesn't just have to be from you. Students should be involved in self- and peer-assessment as well. Nice job.
