LE, You may find it useful to use Remind 101 in which you can send one message to the students and it texts them all. Students tend to check texts more than emails nowadays. Thanks for your input.

Lawrence, I always tell students that their emails must have the course ID number in the subject line (as I teach more than one course) and they have to address me professionally and use professional language. They must also "sign" the email so I know their name. Sounds like you are doing similar things. Thanks!
Lawrence, I love learning and I think many other teachers do too. I think that is why we stay in the educational arena. We have to continue to learn to help our students learn. Thanks!

Alan, You bring up some very good points. We are constantly learning and we have to think about what the students already know in combination with what they need to know and help them reach the learning outcomes. Thanks for your input.
Craig, The portfolio can be an essential evaluative tool in many courses. The students have to be given flexibility in the development of their personal portfolios to demonstrate their progression of learning. Thanks!
Jay, Right on. The chunking of information/content is essential. We have to help students get through the material in the timely manner and learn from the interactions through the course and their engagement. Thanks!

LE, I am glad you do have at least the right to provide supplemental information. I hope the administration pays attention to the suggestions made in the course evaluations. Thanks!

Jay, Sounds like you have a system that's working for you. Time management and organizational skills are essential to survive. Thanks.

Carla, Many people make the mistake of making the rubrics too limiting, but you can actually have a category for creativity and other components to allow the students to be creative. Good question.
