Eugenia, By post session review, do you mean end of course evaluation? We do that on all courses.

Eugenia, Online instructors do use audio announcements, transcripts, quick voice over PowerPoint, etc. and many different ways to get the point across. We have a variety of students, so a variety of ways of communicating can be good as well. Thanks!

Phyllis, We have to be good role models. Without some type of example and role model, students may not know how or when to communicate. Keep up the good work.
Phyllis, We have to find a plan that works for each of us. Some people are morning people and some late night people. But, the key is to set aside time for grading, communicating, and time for ourselves. The students must understand when we are available and when to expect a response. Thanks!

Eugenia, Taking care of life responsibilities is necessary. We have to balance our work and lives. Making sure students know when we will be responding, is key. Phyllis, Transcripts are a good way to provide information to a variety of students. Some enjoy reading the transcripts and some enjoy watching the recorded live chats as well. Thanks!
Eugenia, Have you thought about creating the first one or two study guides and then assigning students or a group of students to do them later in the course? This involves the students and makes them revisit the content. Just a thought.
Phyllis, I'm thrilled you brought up the welcome letter. We also need a "button" that says something like "Start Here" so students know exactly where to go first. Sounds like you have many other things in place to help students. Thanks!
Roberto, You are so right. Assessing the proper thing is essential - whether performance, process or product. Thanks!

Tonya, Connecting the course objectives to the rubrics are essential! I even just list them in the rubric so students see how the objectives are connected to the assignment/project. Nice job.
