Elias, Thanks for bringing that up. Student centered learning and involving formative feedback is an awesome connection to the learning outcomes. Thanks!
Steven, Tailoring training can be timely, but effective. I love to continue to learn, but like you said, it does take time. Thanks for your input.

Lisa, My opinion stays the same. If you start off the first term course with tons of reminders, they'll expect it in the next one as well. Hope this is helpful.

Lisa, We do have to set aside time and typically a place that is just for work. "Unplugging" one whole day each week is probably very beneficial to you. Thanks for your input.
Lisa, Glad you are learning new things in these forums and trying them in your classroom. It's fun to try new thing. Thanks!
Shannon, Great - another "C" word - completeness. You are right on target when you note the importance of timely responses. Thanks!

Suzanne, I'm happy to give you anything I can. There are two conferences I especially like to attend. One is the Quality Matters Conference held in October (I think) each year at various locations throughout the U.S. (https://www.qualitymatters.org/5th-annual-conference-2013-0) and one is the Sloan C Conference held also in October(I think) in Orlando each year (http://sloanconsortium.org/conference/2013/aln/welcome). At each conference you will be able to attend sessions that are applicable to online teaching, learning and designing. It's a great way to network and learn from others. I do not personally have a blog, but I do have examples of things I have… >>>

Suzanne, Great! Glad you are learning new things. The more we learn and work on our workload management strategies, the more we'll have time to do other things. I'm thrilled you are implementing some new things you are learning.
Suzanne, Super! As we continue to learn through professional development, we can try new things. Thanks for trying something new.

Jonida and Nicole, Thanks for continuing the conversation. We do need to work to help students understand what they are doing and how they will be assessed. Thanks!
