William, Well said. The systems should be easy to use. Without an easy to use system, the students won't use it and then they will not (more than likely) be able to reach the learning outcomes.

Courtney, Rubrics also make me, as the instructor, think carefully about the learning outcomes and the criteria needed in the rubrics to help students achieve them. Thanks for your input.

Beth, Right - we are all different in so many ways. Using that mix approach is a good idea. Teaching a variety of learners takes a variety of teaching methods as well. Thanks!

Beth, The rubrics do provide a way for students to understand more clearly on how their grade was achieved. This helps eliminate many questions.
