I have to challenge my students to retain medical terminology for use throughout thier career. I use daily reviews and the "medical term of the day" to re-enforce the retention of the information

In my classroom the learning of the classroom is reenforced by performing a related hands on skill. I would teach the function of the human heart and follow this by having the student listen to a heartbeat.

Most of my students are younger and respond to the challenge of game playing. They retain more information through this process. It also reaches those students who normally do not interact in class.

I had never really thought about having music playing when my students are arriving and leaving the classroom. I want them motivated when they leave so they continue the learning process after class.
I have found that the students must see the same quest for knowledge in the instructor. I activly listen to my student and by asking the students questions when they make a statement they see they can also have input to the class and that I learn right along with them at times.
I have students with learning disabilities are some of my best students. When they tell me about their learning disability I make the effort to afford them what they need to be successful. I find they are also willing to help other students in the same situation.
I have found in every class that I will have at least one or two students with learning disabilities. They often feel they have never been successful in school and are easily discouraged. With positive motivation and using learning tactics to reenforce their abilities they are are motivated learners.

Besides the participation of group members on projects I believe that group work develops a teamwork principle in the students that they will use in the workplace.
I like to move around the classroom to keep the students involved in the instruction. Then I will stop in front of a students desk and ask a question. I usually make the questions relevant to the instruction to reenforce that they are part of the class and evolved in the learning process.

If a potential student is on the Do Not Call list their privacy should be respected. Calling them will not develop any positive interaction.
