A deeper understanding of synchronous and asynchronous meetings was helpful to understanding how to set up future interactions with students.  I learned that students who might normally not participate in class discussions might find this enviornment safer and easier to have their input considered and heard.

Throughtout this module I learned that in order to establish yourself as a respected authority in the eyes of your students it is important to share who you are and what you bring to the experience.  Letting them know who you are, why you are here, and how you got here helps them trust you and your ability to guide them throughout their learning experience.

I felt what I learned from this topic was the importance of the educators knowledge of the content and how it is presented through the CMS system.  Knowledge and familiarity of how the system presents and organizes the lessons will help the educator facilitate the learners progress through the course.
