Planning out a curriculum for your students based on your framework is important because it keeps you flowing smoothly and if you flow smoothly, the students have less time for disruptions. Plus it helps with evaluations. 

I implement safety on day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. It is important to let students know especially middle schoolers that horseplay is not tolerated. Most classes are extremely good, which is nice. While taking this segment of the course I really thought about how to make the students understand that they were not being safe and now with new semester I plan on implementing that strategy! 

Most of our students are low income- with that it means struggles in their daily lives being able to connect with them and finding a motivation that works is best! I also like how this generation likes to watch videos while learning! Technology wasnt huge while I was growing up so its fun to work together! 

I had the same type of experience that the scenario lady had. I came into a new school year from a retired teacher. She was able to give me a very good run down of the curriculum. I however did not have a CTE mentor but support from the CTE staff at the district office. We have a small advisory committee, regrettably it doesn't help my program. 

Respecting the personal life of yourself, peers and students is a must in the teaching world. Professionalism is lost with some teachers but it is a needed boundary within teaching no matter the age. 

I found many things interesting. I hadn't heard of CTE until I found my job. My middle school didn't have CTE corses and my high school may have had some. I am looking forward to this course and making me an excellent CTE teacher.
