About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Erica, It comes with the profession! You are going to make mistakes. After teaching for over 23 years, I still make mistkakes. Continue to work with seasoned instructors and take their advice to minimize your mistakes. Keep trying hard. Patricia Scales
Hi Lance, I have known instructors to change the numbering and give the same test to everyone, and this tactic has proven to reduce cheating. Patricia Scales
Hi Timothy, I understand this tendency. I am sure we as instructors do have those moments. Keep trying to make a personal connection by engaging in small talk, smiling, and greeting. Patricia Scales
