About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Jeremy, If you ever see a sign of frustration on this type of student's face or any student's face confront the student. For some students they feel it is easier to quit than to ask a question. Patricia Scales
Hi Cynthia, I agree! I also love to do hands-on activities with my student for engagement. You should also try scenarios, case studies, role playing, mock learning, and games. Patricia Scales
Hi Anthony, I love your perspective! I can tell you want to be the best possible. You are the type of instructor I would love to help mold. Being a 25-year veteran, I always try to look for more improvement for myself. We can always get better. I love your humble attitude!!! Patricia Scales
Hi Laura, I love having students do projects that will help them better understand their career as it pertains to the workplace. Patricia Scales
Hi Kizmit, I agree! Scenarios serve as a great way to help the students prepare for the real world. Patricia Scales
Hi Martha, Guest speakers are priceless, and they add great flavor to any course. Students want to hear about the real world; guest speakers can give them an ear full about the real world. Patricia Scales
