Activity

Elias, Very good point....the time to make the class is just this! Shelly Crider
Amer, We, as instructors, have to love programs such as Turnitin. Any help with helping the students see their errors is a good thing. Shelly Crider
Robert, I like to teach time management along the way. I usually give my students a weekly calendar for the first week. On Monday I add read material, Tuesday-review material and look at assignments, Wednesday-work on assignments, Thursday-submit discussion and one assignment, Friday- have FUN night no school stuff. Saturday- review assignments and make sure all are done......this is just an example to show students that it is important to schedule "fun" time and "me" time. Shelly Crider
Elias, Enlightening students from the very beginning of each course about how to cite and the consequences of not citing. Shelly Crider
Christine, I like the inclusion of the link! This eliminates accidentally forgetting to cite. Shelly Crider
Daron, Family does have a way of helping, but that happens even in the elementary science fair!! Shelly Crider
Amer, Good point.....if a student walks into a classroom as a school and sees a room hot, messy, and stinky.....they do not want to stay! Shelly Crider
Elias, Class size can certainly make or break a class. I am hoping that most of us do not see 40 in an online class. The more students in an online course, the less communication. Shelly Crider
Daron, Not just neatly presented, but professionally presented as well. This helps with the soft skills we are trying to pass along as well. Shelly Crider
Deborah, I love the role model! It is easy to just get in your class and grade assignments, but a great instructor will cause students to think.....in discussion or perhaps an email. Shelly Crider
