James, Good point....it is so important for instructors to let students know right from the start why your class is important to them. I teach a Microsoft Word class and I have several students who do not see the need....big discussion question for me! Shelly Crider
Niki, There are times when I have to double check my own work to make sure I have covered all my ends as well!! Shelly Crider
Niki, We all have an off day now and then. A do over gives the opportunity to really think about your work. You do not always get a second chance in the real world. Shelly Crider
Gregory, You might add to your "must reads" some stories of people who have not completed their own work and what happens to them. Shelly Crider
Simon, It can be harder to catch a student in the act, but we should always lets students know we are on the lookout! Shelly Crider
Amy, Functionality....I like it! This is a perfect example. I like your advertising background! Shelly Crider
Scott, I would imagine that you have experienced some pretty nasty interfaces in the past! Even Microsoft does not get it right 100% of the time! Shelly Crider
James, Yes students do like the communication/feedback. We as instructors need to make students feel they are in a legitimate class....as they are! Shelly Crider
Gregory, A great first impression cannot be redone! I agree with engaging our students starts with navigation. Shelly Crider
Jason, I like how you give students an assignment with various forms of communication as the heart of the assignment. Most think of communication as verbal or nonverbal...and that is it! Shelly Crider
