Activity

Michelle, good point.....first impression is chaos, the rest of the class will be chaos for that student. Shelly Crider
Dr. Henrietta, Yes!! We do want high, realistic expectations. Expect a lot....get a lot! Shelly Crider
Jennifer, This is true! iPads, iPhones....we have to have iCourses!! Shelly Crider
kathleen, You can certainly do this through programs out there. I love powerpoints and I also love livelecture or jing. Shelly Crider
Patricia, I think cheating in the classroom has become a bit easier with texting and or google right on your phone. Shelly Crider
Jacquilin, True, and you can assign work that is personal or at least add a personal touch. Shelly Crider
Cheryl, A picture is worth a thousand words!!! So in an online class.....a good page is worth content itself! Shelly Crider
Steven, I think having a common study area is important. I have taught online classes for over 10 years and believe me, some of the students I have had would have benefited from this concept. I do try to suggest study in the same place as this helps with remembering the content, but calling it a common study area.....I really like that. Shelly Crider
Sabrina, Critical skills are certainly missing in many courses that I have seen, online and traditional. Students want quick assignments and not necessarily to have to think about the answers. Shelly Crider
Dr. Henrietta, Good point! I love the idea of adding pop up questions to Power Points. This is a great way to really keep students tuned in! Shelly Crider
