 I thought the Pygmalion Effect was very interesting and so true as I look back on my own life as a student and as a teacher.

The importance of using games to to make learning more fun is a good way to help students remember information. 

The importance of visual and auditory stimuli

Be positive in all situations and careful with the words you choose.

I learned that I need to vary my teaching styles and lecturing styles to address the needs of all learners. 

The importance of getting to know your students and letting them know more about you and your background.

Keeping a checklist I think is a great idea. Also the importance of setting goals and objectives and having those clearly laid out. 

I thought the 5 C's were very helpful to keep in mind as a new instructor.  Your job in much more than just teaching the content. 

The importance os using tehchnology to create learning experiences, scenarios and enhance problem solving skills.

Curriculum maps are important in order to make sure all of your content is covered.
