It is very important to understand that questions/questioning are integral to the learning process. As an instructor you need to be engaging and understand that how you respond to a question is sometimes as impactful as the question itself. 

There is not a one step fits all approach to teaching students. It is important to try and understand what learning style your students have and then use the best approaches within your course to ensure that all students are able to learn in their own ways.
