Content organization for either synchronous or asynchronous is important. Maintaining consistency in course design can increase the development of an effective framework.

Identifying the style of teaching is a direct correlation to the desired learing outcomes. Having a combination of styles may amplify the learning process of the student. Matching the teaching style with the proper technology should have ease of use, interactivity and be compatible with computer requirements.

One of the ideas I would like to incorporate in my class is the use of quizzes. The quiz could be used to clarify different components of teh lesson and they could be taken multipe times thus reinforcing the materials.

The take away for me was the flexibility of online teaching. Thinking outside the box is key. Having guest speakers is an awesome idea and for those that are not able to attend can view the archives.

Designing an online course requires the connectivity between the content and instructor to the student When there is buy - in from the student this increases the engagement. This could lead to contributions to the course which is important to teh growth of the student.

The take - way from this session is to use multiple evaluations when closing the loop. In addition, a concerted effort will be made to encourage students to complete surveys at the end of end course.

I have gained a better understanding of assessments and the two types. This has encouraged me to formulate a plan to incorporate precise and positive feedback to my students.

My take away from this session is the building of a dynamic syllabus. My goal is to revise the syllabus so my students may access and see each component versus a flat line.

When developing a framework keep in mind the over - all goals and expectations you have for your students. As the instructor, be mindful of non - verbal cues. My plans are to be consistent in my formating of new modules and to gain outside critique of the delivery and operation of the content.

Motivational engagement is a team approach. All departments need to be on board with inspiring intrinsic motivation within the learner. Providing positive/constructive feedback decreases poor grades and increases engagement. I will make conscious efforts to have available a variety of ways to provide content information as each learner has their own understanding of information
