I learned that mindfulness and gratitude are effective buffers against the inevitable challenges of life.

This is an excellent course! The most important lesson derived from this course was that those character virtues such as wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance and transcendence are as important, if not more important than those tangible things that are usually viewed as measures of success.

I learned that accomplishment is effectively measured by progress, growth, learning experiences and measures of well-being, not just quantitively.

I learned that positive education could benefit students, faculty and indeed the entire school. It is also a wonderful alternative to punitive measures such as detention.

I learned that team management encompasses attributes such as exceptional communication and conflict management skills among others. An effective team manager also motivate team members to fulfill their unique roles and responsibilities.

I learned from this module that service learning offers students excellent opportunities for personal, professional, and career growth. I also learned that dependability and quality of service are defining qualities that are important to any service learning project in a community.

I learned from this module that frequent evaluations are key elements of service learning. It is important to perform frequent formative evaluations to determine if adjustments are needed. I will be suggesting that approach to my current clinical coordinators.

This particular module is chock full of information and offers excellent ideas for service learning. I intend to present some of the ideas to my instituations' the clinical coordinators.

So far in this course, I have learned just how mutually beneficial service learning is. I wish I had completed this course 2 semesters ago when I was asked to cover a community nursing rotation. Going forward I intend to utilize this information when given the opportunity.

I learned that building an online learning community extends beyond the boundaries of academic instruction. Incorporating this knowledge will a key feature of my future online courses.
