Activity

I have learned about the effectiveness of implementing a multitude of testing styles. I will apply this into the classroom by creating several versions of the same test to meet student needs year by year.

Active learning as well as group assessments can help the student grow to their potential. I will implement the ideals learned by paying more attention to general education levels of students to help bridge the testing gap. I will also design test questions that directly reflect the content standards for that unit.

I learned different strategies to question the students in order to obtain the most thoughtful response. I will implement these strategies by engaging more students with technology based questions.

I learned that kinesthetic learners could be helped by allowing them to stand, have study breaks, or even chew gum. I did not realize it, but I myself value those things. It seems like those with ADD could be placed in the kinesthetic category. In my future practices, I will highlight text more in power points, give short breaks, and allow students to stand if need be.
