Hi Stephen- Thanks for your post to the forum. You are doing a great job at assessment! I also have those 5 week classes and agree that it id difficult to cover all the bases in such a short time. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
HI Tammara - Thanks for your post to the forum. I agree that the small group format really bworks well for the shyer students. Switching the groups frequently is a good idea as it gets those students more comfortable with the entire class. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Edwardo - I also find that the technology skills of the younger students most often are much better than those of their older colleagues. I try to pair older and younger students together when possible. They really help each other in a lot of ways! Best wishes - Susan
Hi Mike - Thanks for your post to the forum. I like your idea of using the dry erase board. Do students post to it as well? Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Eldis- Thanks for your post to the forum. Yes, knowing the learning styles of our students allows us to create learning environments that will nurture our students. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Edwardo- Thanks for your post to the forum. Students really do like to be able to relate what they are learning to their own experiences and also benefit from our own experiences that we can share with them. Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi William - I love the idea of writing an interest stimulating question on the board before the start of a lesson! Thanks for sharing! Susan
Hi Tina- Thanks for your post to the forum and for sharing such an uplifting motto! If you don't mind I'd love to use it with some of my classes! Best wishes for continued success in your teaching career. Susan
Hi Denise - Thanks for your post to the forum. I find that learning to use "wait-time" is one of the toughest things for new instructors to learn. I guess it's just that fear of the "awkward silence"! Susan
Hi Karen - I am curious - do you ask the students to correctly spell the keywords that are mispelled? Best wishes! Susan
