I really liked this section because it outlines how to write up the expectations for the class.  The examples were well written and focused on the content of the class-not just an overview.

This lesson reaffirmed that you MUST check to make sure your technology is compatible with the student's equipment.  So many times in F2F instruction, I find that the technology will work on my computer but it is not compatible on the student laptop.

I liked the different ways to engage students at the very beginning of the course, and using multiple strategies to keep them engaged.  the was an interesting section!

I think it is all about communication and the way it is delivered to the student.  If you have clear expectations, reliable feedback and different way to ecnourage participation, your online class will be effective.

synchronus and synchronus teaching is important and they both have benefits and downsides to both.  I think it would be difficult to implement the synchronus style in an onine classroom.

I learned that different technology can assist your delivery of content in an onine class.

Using multiple rescource for evaluation is important for face to face classes and online classes

Feedback is important because it gives students a opprotunity to self reflect and make necessary changes before submiting the assignment.

The syllabus needs to be more dynamic than a traditional one used in the classroom setting.  Scaffolding is very important in the classroom and online as students build upon prior knowledge..  I like the comment that students should learn from technology, not take from.

Developing a consistent "theme" for you online courses makes sense to me.  It allows for consistency in the course layout, and it also makes it easy to change/find information quickly
