In this module I've learned that developing class content must include topics that keep students motivated in learning.  Also, lessons must be up to certain point entertaining to keep students engaged. Further, lessons must have more than one delivery method to engaged those students with diverse learning needs.

I like the activity of having the students answering a few questions on a flashcard and share some of their answers with a small group. This is a great idea for the students "to break the ice" and learn that most of us have similar preferences. 

In this module, I learned the importance of planning my lessons and classroom ahead of time.  I learned that a classroom must have certain qualities for students to increase their academic learning and every detail becomes a variable that will affect their learning experience. 

In this module, I've learned the responsibilities of keeping a professional image which includes starting class on time. Also, the importance of taking professional development courses to help me to improve classroom management and student's academic achievement.

In this module I have learned that it is best for an instructor to admit when they make a mistake during the lesson. I will take the opportunity to share with the class my mistake during the lesson and embrace it by showing that a mistake is part of the learning process. Also, I plan to take the time and learn all of my students names within the first couple of weeks of school.

I've learned in this section that behavior issues need to be address right away and students typically avoid participating in class activities due to their academic insecurities. I will design activities that required small groups and promote class participation.

When dealing with challenging students, I like the seating chart rotating strategy. By brining students to the front often their behavior improves. I will apply the rules consistently and ensure that all students understand classroom procedures.

On this module, I have learned strategies that I will apply during the first week of school. For instance, I will review the course expectations with each and ensure that all students learn the class routines. Also, I will emphasize the importance of writing assignment due dates on the board and on the course syllabus.
