What I learned in this section of the course was that student-centered assessment allows for collaboration between Instructor and student and this provides problem solving, synthesize information and contruct their own knowledge.

It was very interesting to learn about how and when rubrics can vary and the advantages and disadvantages a rubric can have.  But I think the advantanges a rubric offers outweigth the disadvantages in my opion.

Reply to Lisa Creach's post: So true Mrs. Creach.  Student get an understanding of what areas they need to improve and gives them self esteem on the areas of their strengths.

Reply to Elizabeth Thompson's post:  Hello Mrs. Thompson's, I agree with you that some rubric are very useful like when student are writting an assay.

Providing a rubric is essential and needed not only as a guide for grading but it provides the students with the guidelines needed for a student to growth.

I have learned that as an intructor we must provide feedback to students not just marking right or wrong with no feedback, it is imperative that feedback be a consistent part of any assessment.  Student's will understands what areas needs improvement.

I learned a lot in this course especially Diagnostic assessment is when its used to clarify the students' prior knowledge.  Which is a tool I will use to better help/guide my students and also get to know them.

The use of appropriate tools should be well thought out and reviewed at course end by students and instructor as to their effectivness.  Using different tool will help student to better understand the course and that we as instructors need to remember that each student needs a different tool to obtain the information.

Hello Team,

What I learned in this session was the difference of where does it belong? Managers are more adminster, maintain, control, short-term view which I was surprised with the result.  Also managers are more ask how and when, imitate and accept the Status Quo.  Learder is more innovate, develop, inspire, long-term view, ask how and why, originate and challenge it.  In this session I learn that both roles are needed to be successful and how you can be both.

Ms. Nini

This module taught me about behavioral traits inherent to the student personal profile.  That we might get the noisy, quiet, disruptive, intimidators, and proscatinators.  This module gave good practices on how to deal with all these behavioral traits.
