So far this is an interesting topic.  It is filled with great introductory advice so that at least I know I have a good foundation for instance, try to learn their names, offer feedback/praise, answer their questions. I am excited to see the next steps in this process.

It is important to get to know your students. Learn about life and academic goals. Learn if the student has personal barriers that may impact academic goals.

Seeing students as customers prevents the instructor from treating students like children.

Nurses know how to advocate for patients, we have to learn what advocating for students looks like.

It is important to stay aware of current FERPA rules and regulations.

Instructors must comply with FERPA rules and regulations.

Using technology to enhance student learning is an effective tool to help students visualize the answers to identified problems.

I believe this section is encouraging instructors to get the students talking. Reflection on their own activities and activities of peers is a valuable way to analyze different situations and points of view.
