This section gives a good overview of lesson planning

I have learned that adult learners learn best when able to link learning to their life experience and when they can link their life experience to the objectives of the task or skill

I am enjoying this information. I agree learn about intrinsic motivators and reinforce them with students, but I need an example of this?

The section on retention is a deep dive  into the learning challenges that students face. The look at the issue suggest that the instructor has to be interactive with the student and adjust techniques to keep the class emotionally involved. There should be a figurative table where student and teacher meet to build rapport, mutual respect, and trust.

I have heard about soft skills but have never had a list of soft skills or investigated this skill set, perhaps until you have an introduction to the topic it is like speaking a foreign language to attempt to demonstrate a soft skill to someone.

What kind of activities can we use to influence students to learn about other students culture and language? i noticed potlucks help students learn about each other.

I have learned to create a  calm, consistent environment which should benefit all the students especially the one with PTSD or TBI

This has been my first instinct for trauma and any mental health issues like TBI,I attempt to create an environment free of emotionally triggering topics or at least  not allow the students to dwell on the topic for extended periods of time. The emotional discussion maybe good for some students but may trigger negative responses in other students.

This is a common symptom in the diseased world in which we live.
