Activity

Taking this course helped me understand how active learning strategies can directly strengthen students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Taking this course taught me how to rethink and redesign standard classroom practices so they support deeper engagement, critical thinking, and student-centered learning. In addition, designing a rubric around the classroom practices is essential for students to remain aligned and on track with the course.

After completing a course on active learning, I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of how learning actually works and how to take a more intentional, engaged approach to it.

I learned it is important to teach and help students develop professional communication with online learning.

I have learned you should bring awareness to students about the different types of learning by having them fill out a survey prior to beginning the course.

Although online learning is conveinant, there is a huge disconnection that could cause all kinds of issues for students. As an instructor, it is important to not only teach the class, but communicate with students via email and adapt to their learning styles.

It was really interesting to see the different kind of learners. I am more of a competitive learner and fast typer so I would dominate synchronous learning. It was great to get a better understanding so I could provide a fair and engaging environment for all of my students.

I learned the importance of your introduction and providing a bio so the students can see credibility and get to know you and be more engaged.

This module helped me realize it is crucial to teach in a way that will grasp the attention span of adults.

Introduction is important and giving students background information about yourself to show your expertise in the course and make the feel comfortable.
