Jo, I like the way that you effectively identified many different types of stressors in your life. Sometimes, just verbalizing and acknowledging the things that cause us stress can help us start to cope with these stressors.
Jo, Your ideas for test grading sound quite effective. Requesting an outline for essay questions can really cut down on the amount of time that you spend searching for the correct answers on each exam. Also, having an answer key for the homework can significantly reduce grading time. These are both great ways to save time. Keep it up!
Jo, Exercising on the tread climber while you watch the morning news is an excellent idea. Accomplishing these two activities at once will be a big time saver – in addition to helping you cope with the stress in your life.
Eva, It's great to hear that you are good at making effective to-do lists. That is a wonderful start! Perhaps there is a way to have more reasonable expectations about what you can accomplish on your list. When our expectations are too high, we may end up feeling disappointed about the tasks that we didn't accomplish. This can decrease our motivation to try to accomplish tasks in the future. When our expectations are reasonable and more closely match reality, we tend to continue to be motivated to accomplish our tasks. This can help us reach our goals.
Eva, Great idea about your exercise program. Exercise is such a great way to reduce the stress that you are experiencing. As for cutting back on the number of patients that you see, there are tradeoffs as you mentioned. Perhaps there is a way to cope with this stressor without creating a new one.
Think about the stressors in your life that cannot be eliminated or reduced. Based on what you have learned in this module about healthy coping mechanisms, what will you do in the future to cope with these stressors?

What are some general areas that you can identify as major stressors in your life/career? Are these stressors based upon logistical (organizational) factors, student needs, or college requirements? Develop a list of your stressors within these general categories or create additional categories based upon your personal needs.
