Cindy, you can't please all the people all the time. If you make it clear as you say here that the order of the questions are random, then everyone has to study everything, not just know the easy ones. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I agree. I don't force learners to participate, but is do invite them and make it worth their effort when they do with incentives and positive reinforcement.
Discussion Comment
Yes because it can be dry content that is foreign to most learners, we must plan our teaching strategies to keep it interesting.

Shannon, you might think about using it as a quiz, too. It can lower learner anxiety and reinforce content at the same time.

I agree it is important to gear your teaching to the audience of learners you have. RN to BSN learners generally have much clinical knowledge but may not be as familiar with management, leadership and advanced nursing practice, so you are smart to look for ways to invite higher thinking from them.

Dr Jill, you can assign the clips on YouTube for course work like homework, so it does not have to be supported by the technology system of your school. Thanks for your thoughts.

Keeping your students involved is the key to success, Larry. If you keep the attitude of a learner it will make you a better teacher.
Where did you get it? I would love to find one for myself!
Discussion Comment
I really like this approach, thanks for sharing it!
Elizabeth, I like your adapting of the method to therapuetic communication, as that is sometimes difficultmfor leaners to grasp. This method will be a positive reinforcement activity.
