Many different ways to learn with many different students. All having different points of view about your instruction. Endless possibilities to improve as an instructor. Keeping the information short and sweet while trying to keep everyone engaged and focused on learning. I also like the idea of videotaping the course to see if there are any redundancies with the teaching style or mannerisms.

Learning names are so important to make a student feel comfortable and that they matter in my class.

The components of Instruction were very detailed. I have a better grasp on how to set up my class with course outline, lesson plan, goals, objectives, and method of instruction. Arrive early and stay involved to keep the mind off of performance and more on the students and their needs was very insightful as well.

Constant growth is key to successful teaching. I learned how to better devise a plan for myself to develop skills in areas I think could be improved.

Using the 4 O's and also taking a temperature on the course and the content provided will help with guidance of online learning for students.

They are both valuable tools for students, but organization is the key for either to function properly.

Keeping myself focused and engaged will be the prerequisite for my students to remain motivated. Learning students' goals and building rapport will keep me authentic to what they need to stay motivated.

Keeping your classroom focused is multi-faceted and a big part is recognizing my role in self-awareness. The crisis management game sounds like a very fun way to keep the class engaged if the "slumps" occur.

Starting the class with a joke of the day allows you to take the temperature of the class that day. I also like the idea of bringing in friends of the trade to reinforce the expectations that the focus in the classroom carries over into the realworld.

My biggest take away would be the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and I am excited to learn how to juggle all of the different motivators along with different backgrounds and lifestyles. My goal will be to get every student to buy into the idea to be both intrinsic and extrinsic, and to realize this trade can be rewarding on so many different levels. I want students to realize the power they hold with this new knowledge and to stake their claim in this world.
