I give so called particiaption Notes where the students have to answer 2 questions related to the content coverd in a learning unit of the day. If the studnets did not pay attention then they loose an opportunity to gain their extra ponts for that day.

 

Ice-breakers help to realease tension and anxiety at the beginning of the course. Creation of the chat with due date and times for entire semester is one of the effective startegies facilitating academic integrity.

 

I plan in advance: 15min. lectures, in-class activities, audio-video-textual materials and etc. The more diverse my teaching strategies, the more chances to "hit" students' learning styles.

 

Knowing the students and facilitation of group bond activities help to create a long-lasting relationships throughout semester.

 

A thorough planning and setting an agenda before each class helps to be effective at all times.

 

This is a great module reminding me on how to be an instructional and personal model for students, how to manage the class, and motivate students.

 

This module presented an expansive list of consent meanings. This is really helpful!

It was intersting to learn about the diferences in regards institutiounal and criminal grievences, as well as about the VAWA responsibilities.

Being a student, I did not recieve any additional training or even the list of responsible people. I did not even know that there was a Title IX Coordinator at my University. Also, I personally knew many students who reported about the hostile environment in classes, but also knew about the acts of retaliation against the reporting persons and the victims. Confidentiality is still a huge issue!

Even though I passed several trainings related to the issues oulined in Title IX, I was not aware about the exact institutional responses.
