Organization, time management, and staying focused are key for online learning instructors.

It is easy to get bogged down in answering student emails with online learning. That is why it is very imporant to make sure that the online course is comprrehensive in its instructions and designed well.

The use of games as a mean of assessment is intriguing, as long as it is not too complicated to use.

The more I learn about gaming in the learning environment- the more discouraged I am becoming. I feel that I, as the educator, probably know less than my students do about this topic. Plus, it seems like it would be expensive.

I am eager to learn about educational games beyond Kahoot! and Jeopardy templates.

Games are a good way to get students interested in topics that they might find boring if presented in a more traditional way. Many students respond well to competition.

This is a concept that I have struggled with a lot in the past. I feel that I still am not 100% certain as to how to "close the loop" using evaluations of student work.

I learned that rubrics can be a useful tool for assessment for things other than research papers and projects.

After completing this module, I have realized that I am going to have to rethink how I do my syllabi when I am creating an online course. I feel that it needs to be a lot more detailed than one for a synchronous class.

One way to keep asynchronous students from feeling isolated or disconnected is to design modules in a way that they know what to expect throughout the entire course.
