I've written lesson plans and objectives, but it was never suggested to refer back to them and review. I will certainly be doing this from now on.

I never put much thought into lesson plans and lesson plan templates. I also save everything on my laptop hard drive. This lesson was a wake up call to not only providing lesson plans but also to ensuring I have a solid plan for easy access and storage in the event of an emergency.

Wow. Never considered pre-tests. Much better idea than making an assumption on where to start.

I should really use more of a variety of questions. I had previously been taught that essay questions are the best form of assessment as it forces them to really consider their response. Also stratgically using different forms of questioning as mentioned, such as True and False questions to ensure students can answer more questions in the time allotted.

Great ideas to evaluate students and student learning.

To be a little more intentional with my questions to target and better engage my traditional non-participators.

Great discussion on Learning assessment. Had not previously considered including a Learning Style preference assessment, but now souds like a great idea thanks. This will help ensure balanced approach to delivering content.

Have heard of the learnign sytles before but never considered a Learning Style Assessment! Great Idea! I am going to dicuss having the students do a Learning Style Assessment annually, that will color code them in our system so I can 1- be reminded of their learning style, 2- ensure I am including assignments tailored to their needs, and 3- assign them to groups while being mindful of their learning style. Thanks!
