This module showed me the importance of Positive feedback to keep the students motivated to continue to retain the information that they are learning. Students must be able to see the meaning or purpose for the information, and they must also understand and have the capability to apply the information.

It is important to remember that the attention span of an adult is 10-15 minutes and they become bored very easily. Ask students to recommit to their success in learning for the second half of the course. Show students how much progress they have made since they have started the course.

I learned that it is extremely important to keep the students engaged and to look forward to the next class. It is alright to have fun in class and have group activities, but make sure that the students do not become too competitive with each other. This could cause some students to feel inadequate and left out.

I learned the importance of understanding age and cultural diversities among your students.

It is very important when developing your lesson plans to  incorporate different learning styles,  lecture for no longer than 15 minutes at a time,  and try to keep the students engaged as much as possible.

If I do not cover everything on my list on the first day be sure to go over requirements, syllabus, and emergency procedures. On the next class session, start where I stopped on the check off list.

It is very beneficial to make a checklist and to have a note pad handy to make notes so you keep jot down things  that need obtained or handled for students as well as yourself.

Learning is the most important thing going on in a classroom and always remember that we all make mistakes.
