Teambuilding is an important concept in the Career Education environment as it is a necessary concept to performance within a corporation or company.

I have learned how to better apply the IDEALS concept in the six steps of Effective thinking and problem-solving. I will utilize some of the tools that I have learned in my classes to develop better and more career-ready students.

I have learned the most effective ways to deal with disruptive student behaviors. Very practical methods were revealed within this module.

This lesson has taught me that through the years I have had and utilized at least three management styles. I have also learned that I tend to tailor my styles more to the classes as they too have changed in their needs over the years. Great information in this module!

I have learned how objectives should always be aligned and reflect Occupational/Learning standards that are set forth in the governing bodies for the states.

Good time management is essential; try preparing for the unexpected while maintaining class time. You have to keep all students engaged regardless of their skill level at the beginning.

In teaching you should always have a back-up plan for times that things do not go as planned.

I have learned that the use of questions that are well thought out are an essential tool in the assessment of student learning.

I had known that learning styles were important to address when creating material for students to learn, however, I am not sure if I had even thought of different intelligences. This was excellent for me. I have learned about the use of multiple intelligences to group students and to understand the students different behaviour towards learning.

This lesson has greatly increased my knowledge of how information is encoded into useful long-term working memory that can be applied. I have also learned about the differences in how certain age groups learn and retain information.
