I have some ideas for the 5-10min start of the day.

Lots of acronyms, will check more info but lots of tech to be utilized in the classroom 

I use some of these regularly and others I have used in the past. Good to know about a few others but this module felt like a sales pitch. Always good to incorporate technology in the classroom environment

Having dealt with a wide range of classroom types, I have implemented all these techniques in the past including politely asking to leave and escalating to ed mgr. Usually good classroom mgmt reduces the chance of getting that far and *knock wood* I'm at a point in my teaching career that it shouldn't happen but I am prepared if it does.

That was a big Module, so much info to go through but great to know about the management styles. I just thought there was great, good, and terrible but nice to see it laid out this way. I can reflect back on my years and note what styles other instructors were and look at myself to see how I can be more of a guide with traits from the others except Apathete. 

ED111R Module 3

Implementing active learning gets us to think outside the box to see what we can come up with to get the material across in a good way that will be retained. Low risk or high risk, take some risks, if it crashes and burns, admit it to the class and have a laugh at it, you're human. 

ED11R Module 2 

Getting the students personally involved in the learning process if great, critical and analytical skills are great to start building more self-sufficient people and problem solvers. If I just give them the answers, what do they learn? If I challenge them to analyze the facts and solve the problems themselves they can become critical thinkers and be more beneficial in any industry.

ED111R Module 1

Passive and active learning methods both can be effective but active clearly gets the brains creating synapses and learning is more complete. Some of my lessons I have to lecture but I try to make it as fun as possible, others I am able to direct the students into more active learning styles and create a different vibe in the classroom. Looking at grades overall, not sure which one has the best effect on grades but there is benefit to both.

I look forward to trying different testing methods based on the new platform we have if it permits it.

I do utilize the  minute paper method at the end of the class, the CATs are beneficial and I do like to share with the class and how I intend to use their feedback. Leaves fewer people behind and addresses shortcomings quickly
