I agree. The Instructor needs to be viewed by the students as someone who cares about their issues and wants to see them succeed. I will often times try to suggest possible solutions to issue and problems raised by the students. 

I often try to bring in the actual work expereinces of the students to the class. Adult learners and even 

young learners can effectively relate work and life experiences to the material. This also creates interest 

among the students who see the material in a different light. 

I find it extremely important to try and keep the class motivated. Using different techniques with 

various students keeps the involved and interested in the material.

I often try different methods such as having student come up to the blackboard and post information relevant to the topic. Often breaking into groups is very helpful and then having one member from each group give a short presentation on their material creates an interesting learning environment. Often times bringing the students to the school library and using resources in the library is a way to change up from the traditional lecture format to another format. 

I agree, if I feel the class is losing interest or is tired, I will try and change up the format from lecture to group interaction. Sometimes splitting up the class or doing a quick in class project can add interest and excitement to the material. The students often like to work in groups and this can be very beneficial to the classroom dynamic. 

I feel that Instructors need to be excited and motivated to achive the most with their students. If the instructor is not excited about the class and the material then it is hard for the students to be motivated. Instructors also have to be sure to have a good command of the material they are presenting. 

It is important for the Insructor to make sure that the students understand what has been presented before moving on. Often times, I find that if i take a moment and look back on the material, it is clear that not all of the students understood. It is very important to make sure that any student who needs language help gets the needed help before the class progresses too far.

I found this Module to be very useful. It is true that when teaching students of varying ages, the Instructor has to be 

mindfull of the various differences in knowledge and life experiences of the students. Older students bring varied and

interesting information to the classroom. It is important for the instructor to make all of the students feel welcome and a

part of the classroom.
