Interesting lesson in motivation and expectations for a course.

Using a variety of tests methods is helpful to the instructor and students.

An instructor must be stimulating to activate the student learning process.

Helpful questions asked in a comfortable setting enhances the motivation of the students.

Audio and visual presentations together will be beneficial to all types of motivated learners.

Remember most students have an attention span of 15 to 20 minutes.  An instructor should be aware this so as to keep salient information concise and emphasized.

On the first day of class the students should be greeted for their comfort.  They must have a proper syllabus explaining course goals and expectations.  It is essential to inspire students with encouragement.  Try to open a dialogue with a simple pre-test about their goals.

Remember a syllabus is a legal document for the students to understand the expectations of course.  It must contain a check list of skills the students should accomplish.

An instructor must:

continue the development of the skills one possesses, remembering to be caring, respectful and address problems appropriately.
