One thing that I had not considered is the taxes involved in finances.  It is not something that we typically cover, but we should.

As most of my peers have mentioned Bonzi is new to me.  Our students are required to take a Personal Finance class as a graduation requirement.  As an instructor of a CTE course, our students have competencies that are required by the DOE, that not only have them understanding finances but putting their understanding to work in a semester project.

This module was another one that listed several things that I am already doing in my classroom.  This alone makes me feel like I am making good choices to help my students understand how money works in some cases.

This course has taught me how to look at the way different cultures can be with finances, how some CTE programs can cost more than others, and has reviewed some of what I have already been doing in my classroom.

This section has made me rethink my own interest in medical terminology.  I have been teaching medical term so long that I think even I have lost interest.   Going through this training has reignited my spark and has me eager to see if some of these suggestions work!!  I plan on starting with the match game.

This section let me see that some of the things that I am already doing are good.  I have already done the crosswords and the word searches to help my students with the information that they have learned.

By far my favorite area so far!!!!  I love the idea of find my meaning.  I plan on using this to create partners/groups!!  This is so much fun!!!

Activities make it easier to understand and keeps them engaged.  I also learned that someone must be exposed to material six times before they remember it.  This could prove fun during the school year with medical terminology.

After reading about the 60 second question, I tried it on my friends and family.  None of them gave the same answer, and none of their answers gave me any insight to their preferred style of learning. Another thing that I already do is invite former students to speak to my current students.  It gives my current students a sense of peace that I know what I am doing (LOL) and my former students get to share their success stories!!

One of the biggest things that I have learned is that we do not always know what our students will say.  On the first day of school, during the ice breaker portion, one of the things that I love to learn about my students is what is their style of learning.  It is easy to meet their needs on some topics, but others take quite a bit of prep work.
