Various testing methods have their pros and cons and it's helpful to have outlined scenarios where each type is most effective. 

Administering the proper form of evaluation will help more effectively assess student comprehension. 

Questions check for student understanding, so it is important to utilize this method properly to get students engaged and ensure that you are properly delivering the course material. 

Blending a variety of learning styles will help the class learn better as a whole because different students obtain information in different ways. 

Testing is still a valuable method but does not cover the full scope of a student's understanding of the subject.

Providing input is still valuable to students even with most grading being digital. Students still seek this input and we should provide this in addition to their digital grades. 

Linear delivery is not always the most effective teaching method.
