Humans have a 15 minute attention spand at any given time. 40% of what we hear is rememebered. the only solution that i can see is proper note taking. 

classroom interaction is a key aspect of course modification. By gadging the classes general knowlege course corrections can be made. 

course objectives can be viewed as an educational contracts that hold you and the student accountable for knowlge presented and knowlege retained.
