I have always expected the best for my students and will continue to do so. I always think that all of the students are capable of doing well, but the students have to think this as well!

I learned that there are numerous ideas that I can work into my lectures moving forward. And, some of these ideas, I was already utilizing. 

It is very important to incorporate the different learning styles into how you deliver your content. I can't just utilize one because not all students learn the same. I have been trying to figure out how to change things up, and this information has been a great help!

The information regarding the use of colors was very useful information. When making power points, I will utilize this information.

Always be positive with your students!

I have learned that it is very important to change how you deliver the course content. I constantly stive to figure out what to utilize to keep the students motivated with the content. This section has helped tremendously with this. 

It is so important to set the tone on the very first day of class. I think students see you as human when you interact with them, and they just don't see you as the instructor. Personally, I am going to have to work on getting to class about 30 mins early. 

There are so many takeaways from this section. But, I really agree with the 3 roles of an instructor. As an instructor, I have found myself in all 3 roles. But, feel that I really like to motivate the students more than anything. 

I learned the importance of incorporating technology into your teaching. I intend to look more into these different technologies. I am curious what interactive learning software does KCTCS offer? Also, are any of you utilizing any of the technologies mentioned?

I learned that there are curriculum map templates. This was never mentioned to me. But, now things are beginning to come together for me and make sense.
