The integration of technology in the classroom is an intricate part of education in 2021. As a CTE teacher and teaching industry standards, it should be required the instructor and students to be efficient with all technology that is used in the profession.

Having a lesson planned helps the class stay on task. The days that I have not had a clear lesson planned out were the days that I was easily off-topic and the day/project did not feel put together.

Both engagement and assessments monitor student growth. I plan to use both summative and formative assessments in the classroom. I also plan to have the differences between a certificate, license, degree, and certification posted in the classroom.

Having a plan is important to the classroom environment to pace the class time and a guide to what will be discussed that day. unit, timeframe.

This is a great example of why safety lessons and completing the safety section are important in the classroom and preparing students for industry.

I have had many resources available since day one. Looking back to that first year I do wish that I would have utilized the resources more than just trying to make it day by day.

This course is giving me a good insight into the history of CTE and how to keep the 2-sides of life separate and manageable.

There have to be boundaries between the instructor's personal and professional life. As a CTE instructor, we also need to model professionalism and how to act in the industry.

I now have a better understanding of the Perkins Grant (gained from the link provided) and how cluster and capstone classes vertically align with post-secondary.
