Assessment of students has been shown to be very productive in the online class room.  I like the way this course explained the three type and will be trying these out to better understand the process.

Technology assessment toolare an effective way of getting students envolved with the course. It also helps instructor make changes to the course.

Being consistant in the layout of the course should follow along with the syllabus .

Have easy navigation and easy acces to materials need, enen if it has to be repeated again for diffrent assignments.

Course also have to engauge student but should not be to long as to pujt the student to sleep in a long drawn out lecture.

Goals should be short and easy to understand.

I learned that facilitator is a very important role in an online enviroment.

Having clear direction to course navigation is very important as well as student feed back about the the course .

Having set consequence for student for the lack of participation need to established early and be consistent .

 

The key thing that I hace learned is that students have to be able to acccess information easily through out the course .  The course goals and student responsiblities need to be explained and followed throughout the course. I think this will cause the student to be more likly to complete assignments to maintain learning.

Ilearned that technology tools can be a great opportunity for students to learn. Instructors should review these tools forr thier poper use and fit for the subject being tought. These tools csn also provide the instructor with feed back on student participation and learning.

Multiple evaluation of your course will give you a well rounded picture of you course . Using these evaluaations cant help you make changes to the course. Continuing this practice and compairing previous evaluations will shown improvements. you should be able to see if the change also increased knowledge in the grades of your participants .

Rubrics are helpful to explain what is expected to what is no satisfactory .  helps you gauge the level of participation and learning. Rubric could also show attitudes with regard to the subject. Does the student consistantly do just enough to get a passing grade ? canbe used to see improvment or decline as well.

Ihave learned that a good dynamic syllabus and good scaffolding will not only enhance the students learning ability.  It will also give them precised direction,a scense of belonging but also the ability to suggest changes.

I relly like the weekly or module approch to planning the lesson. I believe it showes the student exactly what is expected with a specific time frame in mind.  I have found with individual assignment with due dates for each assignment My students tend to wait till just before the due date to finish it by rushing throught to meet the dead line and not absorbing the content. This could also happen with a weekly assignments as well. If attendance, grade and participation are scored in one weekly assignment missing one could be detrimental to thieer grades and would also… >>>
