About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

DAVID E, You have a good balance to your planned delivery and you are keeping your students informed along the way. By keeping the content in focus so they don't get to far ahead in their thinking and planning but stay focused on what is happening currently you are helping them to stay on pace. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Lea Ann, You have a good flow to your instructional delivery. This way you are keeping the interest of your students and keeping the course on track. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Monica, These stories are essential and valuable to the learning process. They help to keep the students' interest as well as validate the content you are sharing with them. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
DAVID E, I think this will give you some very useable information that will help with your instructional planning and delivery. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
DAVID E, I think you are doing a good job of supporting your students with your offer of tutoring for students. With the delivery model you are working within you don't have the opportunity to make adjustments as easily as those instructors using other forms of instructional delivery. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Edward, I use this strategy in my classes. The more real world examples and case studies you can use the more value students will associate with the content. In addition, by working through these projects and case studies they get to expand and develop their problem solving skills. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Monica, Be concise and be consistent in working with students and you will reduce many of their frustrations. You are helping to do both with your syllabus and the review of it. Good work. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
