Activity

Belinda, Your last sentence says a lot about your course and your teaching dedication. Coming to class with excitement and enthusiasm makes for a lively class and engaged students. This is what learning should be about. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Eric, Your comments are right on target in terms of how students are kept in programs. Yes, it is the human factor and the influence that instructors have on the students. They need to see in their learning leader a person that is there to help them be successful if they are willing to put for the needed effort. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Tina, Like your approach in opening up a new options for those that will be entering the animal care field. By showing your passion for large animals and making the learning process you have given your students additional information to consider as they complete their training and make career choices. As a rancher I can relate to the challenge of getting individuals that want to work with large animals. Most individuals in this field want to stay inside and work with dogs and cats. Keep up the good work we need them. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Eric, This such a key point for students to understand. They need certain foundational knowledge so even if they find some of it not the most interesting there is a reason for it being offered. So they need to concentrate on learning this information as it helps them build their future in their chosen career. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Ed, As you consider the impact of the learning environment you can see how your learning environment compares to what the students see on their field trips. Comparing the two will help them see what environment the will be working in and what they are currently learning in. They can see how they will be called upon to work in different situations and use different resources to achieve the desired sounds. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Denise, These are the examples your students are going to remember for a long time. Drawings like this help them to seal the content in their working memories so they can recall this information when they are out in the workplace and need to be accurate in all that they do. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Tierany, They are the foundation upon which the rest of the class is built. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Eric, Like the way you unfold your class. As you know students like change of pace and variety in their learning delivery and you are providing such with your approach. This way you are appealing to their different learning preferences and this will increase their engagement. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Tierany, I am sure your students enjoy this as well as they get to recall and share what they have been learning in preparation for the upcoming quizzes. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Eric, Bringing passion for one's field and enthusiasm for teaching about it goes a long way in setting a positive tone for students. You are right in that you need to get them right out of the chute in terms of setting the tone for the class. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
