About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Catherine, You have a very comprehensive professional development plan that you are following. This is a great way to expand your knowledge and expertise as an instructor. Keep up this plan and you are going to be an instructional delivery expert (IDE) before you know it. Gary
Kristina, This an important part of professional development. The more exposure you have to other instructors the more information you will have as you develop your own instructional style. Gary
Myrthe, Good points about how to be a professional educator that is supportive of student learning. Gary

Elias, Two words come to mind after reading your comments. Application and relevancy. If you can help students see both of these words in action they are going to be engaged in the learning process. Gary
Lacey, I think by making some changes you are going have fun with delivering the content as well as seeing increased learning on the part of your students. I wish you much teaching success with this adjustment. Gary
