Your agenda always reflects what kind of meeting your stakeholders can expect. If there are individuals that don't need to stay for the entire meeting those agenda items often should be put in the front end of the meeting. This would allow as you have appropriatel done giving permission for these individuals to leave the meeting. Know your audience and what they need to know.

This type of employee is not unusual and if not handled appropriately it can be a deterrent for others to speak in the meeting. I usually have some formality with my meetings. The Chair calls on people when they have something to say. Importance to any meeting is to stay on task. If the contributor is off task then I will call their attention to being off subject and explain we will stay on topic for the sake of the meeting time management to accomplish set goals. I have chaired many meetings over the years. Meeting organization and time management are essential to a good meeting. I always set aside time for agenda items presented to me from the faculty or employees. I usually begin with this at the start of the meeting. Do the best you can and you will always know you did your best. No can ask for anymore. Performance is for winning sometimes and sometimes losing. What ever happens you will learn from the experience.
Agenda items need to be owned by the participants. Transfer of ownership on agenda items is for the members to want to take part in the activity of collaboration and input. Build the agenda's with levels of importance to the members. There should be no suprises for your employees.

Sometimes when we can give our minds a break through some distractions with exercise or social activity often reduces the stress. It is always good to step back and then return with a fresh look. Having a friend or spouse who is a good listner or advisor will keep you on the right path.
Exercise can be of great help to all of us for cleansing the mind. We often make better decisions when our body is prepared for the task.
