The instructor needs a well planned curriculum, and the student needs a well defined plan on how to achieve the course learning outcomes. Role of instructor personality in delivery selection

Making field trips and guest speakers a part of instruction

Gisele, Often, the ability for students to ask a guest speaker questions are different than they think to ask from their teacher. Questions are created in the student's minds based on the usually great information provided by the guest. I think both the guest speaker and field tripo are very unique and excellent adjuncts to the instructional process. Barry Westling

Gisele, Good. Many instructors are reluctant to modify their planned curriculum in order to meet specific student learning needs. But when personalized attention can be given to a student, then we are practicing this prefered approach to instruction. Barry Westling
