Hi Lin: PPT's can be a great asset to have in class if the slides are developed well and the instructor uses it as an adjunct to the lesson rather than the focus of the lesson. Too much reliance on "the tool" can lead to less interested and less informed students. Regards, Barry
Hi Lin: Self evaluation and realization of personal strengths and weaknesses when considered in a serious manner usually lead to improved instructor performance. Thanks for sharing some attributes about yourself with the forum. Regards, Barry
Hi Albert: Yes, we want to assure fairness and accuracy in our testing, and that includes considering many factors in the construction, delivery and grading of tests. Ultimately, we want to make sure we've assessed the true learning level of our students. Regards, Barry

Hi James: Well, the available resources may be good and there are good reasons to seek out other resources to assist the students in their learning experience. If we look at what a student needs to know about a topic and compare it to the ways we're going to try and teach it, we may find there are many additional or alternate methods to accomplish the goal. Regards, Barry
Hi Albert: Good thoughts about the importance and power of a passionate teacher. Thanks for sharing your personal insights. Regards, Barry
Hi Andrea: These are good. We want to be fair, accurate, and assess our student appropriately. It seems that are loopholes that studens find no matter how concise and precise we try to be. Regards, Barry
Hi Paul: Great. It would seem that back up math problems would provide a never ending resource for times when the regular days topics are modified. Regards, Barry
Hi Germain: Good, easy to use examples. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Barry
